Raul Navarro

Fr. Raul Navarro was born September 25, 1959, in Mexico City, Mexico to Justino and Amelia Navarro. He moved to the United States and received his BS of Geology, MBA, and MS in Education from Loyola University in New Orleans. He received his Masters of Divinity at the Jesuit School of Theology of Santa Clara University. On August 14, 2002, he entered the Society of Jesus. He was ordained on June 8, 2013. During his ministry he served as a Theology teacher at Strake Jesuit College Prep School in Houston, TX, Associate Director of the work study program at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Houston, TX, he was Associate Pastor at Immaculate Conception Church in New Orleans, LA, and was Assistant Dean at the School of Graduate and Professional Studies at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his siblings; Marcos O. Navarro and wife Angela, Carlos M. Navarro and wife Karen and Vera G. Fischer and husband Tony, his nieces and nephews; Susan Navarro and husband Sean, Stephanie Navarro, Stephen Navarro, Sean Navarro and wife Rachel, Kelly Matheny and husband Wade, Anthony Fischer and Nicole Fischer, as well as 7 Grandnieces and Grandnephews. He will also be missed by his Jesuit Brothers of Kansas City and the Central and Southern Province as well as the faculty, staff and students of Rockhurst University.
